Mechel Group has launched syndication of a $2 bn loan to refinance the acquisition of Yakutia-based coal assets, the metal group said in a statement. The credit facility will be arranged by seven banks: ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, Calyon, Natixis, Societe Generale, SМВС and Commerzbank. Mechel is to raise a $1.7 bln 5-year pre-export loan (secured by future payments for the group's exports) and a $300 mln 3-year unsecured credit.

Akron could pay out Rub 25 as 9M07 per-share dividends. The Board of Directors at Akron recommended at Wednesday's meeting that a December 20 EGM approve 9M07 dividend payouts of Rub 25.00 per common share with Rub 5.00 par value each, the company said in a statement. As the press release pointed out, this figure takes into account Rub 13.00 per-share dividends paid for H107.

Irish mining group Celtic Resources is still not willing to accept Severstal's takeover offer, Celtic said in a press release published Friday. The press release was issued in response to the posting of Severstal's offer document to Celtic shareholders at 270 pence per share, which puts Celtic Resources' market cap at 161 mln pounds sterling.
