Russia's balance of payment recorded a surplus estimated at $57.1 bln in 9M07 or 28.4% less than in the same period a year ago ($79.7 bln), the Central Bank of Russia said in a press release. Meanwhile, in the January-September period of 2007 trade surplus equaled $94.1 bln, representing a 15.4% drop on the year-earlier period ($111.2 bln). Trade surplus slid following faster growth in imports, up 37.3% to $154.6 bln from $112.6 bln in 9M06, while exports rose 11.1% to $248.8 bln from $223.8 bln.
